Shouldn’t it be called the century bug?

Wisdom teeth are weird. My first teeth came in under five years, and were soon replaced by newer teeth. I’m something like 19 years old now, and I’ve been able to feel my wisdom teeth hiding under my gums for something like a year now. I suspect that some day when I’m 45 years old, I’ll have to take a couple months off of work to go through a tonsilectomy, wisdom teeth, and chicken pox. And my kids will laugh at me.

I just got my single favorite book from my dad. It’s a fiction novel by P. D. Eastman.
This is my favorite part:

Big dog. Little dog.
Big dogs and little dogs.
Black and white dogs.
‘Hello!’ ‘Hello!’
‘Do you like my hat?’ ‘I do not.’

Ooh.. this was a fun Saturday. I didn’t do anything constructive but figure out how UPC numbers are encoded on soup, Lysol, and VHS tapes. Perhaps tomorrow will be more like a normal college student’s weekend.

If you like humorous folk guitar music, get the self-titled Dan Bern CD. It is good. I’ve been listening to it for about 2 or 3 hours now, and I’m tired. Sleepy nap nap. Turns out I would’ve lost the bet had we bet anything, oh well. Pbbbth!

“I had a friend once.
They fed him a lot of apple juice.
Then one autumn
he changed colors,
fell out of a tree,
and died.”

‘Hey.’
‘Dammit, don’t talk to me. I value every second of this online chat more than your friendship. What’s wrong with you? Can’t you see I’m busy.’
‘…’
[Dramatic 15 minute pause.]
‘Ok, I am temporarily available to talk to you. What was that you said?’
‘…’

I only had 6 hours of sleep last night and work wasn’t very exciting, so I took a nap around 6:30. I had a three hour rest and now I’m in a post-nap pseudo-drunken stupor. In a chat with my friend Margie, she typed :) and for some reason it was really funny. I smiled back in the best way I can make a :) with my face. I didn’t smile to her. I smiled to the emoticon. Naps are good.

I added and updated some links on the links page, restored the link to info about my webpage updater program, and went to an on-campus singalong poetry guitar music meeting with coffee.
