I have quite a lot of not caring about my classes this semester. Digital Design is interesting, but my enjoyment of that class somehow pales in comparison to the useless energy I am required to put into Statistics, Networking and Circuits 1 lab. I have this theory that the university puts the more talented teachers in the freshmen level classes so the new students aren’t inclined to drop out and start their own businesses without first racking up some debt. Once the students are hooked into fulfilling their parents’ dreams, the university doesn’t have to supply any more talented teachers, so it just hires people who understand [most of] the material themselves, regardless of their ability to convey that understanding to others. I normally hear that teaching at the university level is about as prestigious as teaching assignments get. So if the jobs are prestigious, pay well, etc., etc., why does the university have SO many teachers that can only be described as ‘useless’?
Half a dozen assignments between me and spring break, none of which I care to do. There are not enough hours in the day. The way things are going right now, I’d need 3 days of off-time for each hour of class to feel that I am accomplishing everything I care about.
Dizzy feelings. Hmm, incorrect bloodflow to my brain. Good time to stop typing and go to sleep. Blah blah.. click click click…
