Some day somebody’s gonna make you want to turn around and say goodbye.
Until then baby are you gonna let them hold you down and make you cry?
Don’t you know – don’t you know? Things can change.
Things’ll go your way if you hold on for one more day.
It was believable enough that Harold and Kumar were singing along. What was difficult to believe was that the editors would add extra voices to an already well-known song.
It took me a few seconds to realize that over 70% of the population that would watch ‘Harold and Kumar Go To White Castle’ instead of ‘The Village’ know the words to Hold On and are willing to sing it out loud in a theatre full of strangers. Of course I was singing along and didn’t give a crap at the time. Now that I have time to think about it, I think people singing along to a movie in the theatre is a sign that the moviemakers did something right.
I’ve probably only been to 2 movies where the laughter was so loud, I couldn’t hear the dialogue. I don’t think I’ve ever been to a movie good enough to make hundreds of people sing with Wilson Phillips.
And yesterday, I got three more phone books. Someone at BellSouth either really likes me or really doesn’t like me.
