“Everybody’s Gotta Learn Sometime” [link] – I agree with about 95% of this video, which is unusual since most 9-11 related movies tend to contain silly nonsense that’s more sensational than relevant. It’s worth a serious watch. The video is a haunting reminder of the similarity between what is happening / has happened in this country and what happened in Germany in the 1930’s (which was made possible in part by W’s grandpa, but that’s getting off-topic).

Roughly all of the mainstream media, our military, and our representation are cowards. They are too afraid to open their eyes and see what is wrong. And if they happen to notice something might be a little off, they are too unwilling to even mention it to other people. They are too afraid to do something to fix the situation, even if it’s a simple action like saying “No, Sir, I will not shoot any more people for your lies.”

Understand that I’m dead serious about this. This isn’t something I read on a match book.

Here’s the truth in a nutshell. If you write small, you can fit it on a postcard and mail it to your friends:

The administrations of the United States and Israel, each individually convinced of the phrase “We Alone Are The Chosen Ones”, have an endlessly increasing lust for geopolitical power and are hard at work fulfilling those desires through wholesale terrorism and genocide, trusting in the seemingly infinite rationalization, fear, and greed of the great big pussies who might otherwise do something about it.

I just used strong language that I never use to get your attention. Because it is important.

Dubya wields dictatorial power. The government has total access without need for warrants. People who get too close to the truth are murdered without consequence. There is no due process or Bill of Rights. And Halliburton has a contract to build concentration camps.

Military Hides Cause of Women Soldiers’ Deaths

This article is about how female soldiers in Iraq were not drinking anything after 3 or 4 PM in the 120 degree weather for fear of being raped when they went to the female latrines at night. Some of them died from dehydration as a result. The army decided to cover up what was happening and why.

Army Demands $700 for Lost Body Armor

This article describes one of many cases of American soldiers required to pay a ransom for ‘missing inventory’ lost after being attacked in Iraq.

We’re supposed to smile and make our cars wear those ‘Support Our Troops’ magnets. Probably because the government doesn’t give two shits about them. I guess it’s cheaper to let the private sector be in charge of caring.

This article from uruknet.com is worth a read. It is well-researched and contains source links to numerous other websites. Apparently the side-effects of exposure from the excessive use of depleted uranium (DU) is now being blamed on microscopic ’sand fly’ bugs. Doctors all over are trying to treat the symptoms with little success with a drug called ‘Pentostam’. Likely because an anti-parasite treatment isn’t going to do much against severe radiation poisoning.

More than eleven thousand of the soldiers who participated in the first gulf war are dead now, with half of the total Gulf Storm soldiers on permanent disability. Many children of gulf war vets are being born with birth defects (missing limbs or missing organs). Since the radioactivity can affect other people through close contact, some gulf war brides even have had to have historectomies due to uteran cancer.

And this is just from exposure to several weeks of what we’re doing to the Middle East. We’ve dropped more than 40,000 Nagasaki a-bombs-worth of radiation since 1991, so the people of the Middle East, should they be lucky enough to figure out how to get rid of the US occupation, will still have that problem to deal with.

When a child is born in Iraq or Afghanistan, the mother isn’t as concerned lately whether it’s a girl or a boy. She’s more concerned with the question, “Is it normal?”

Well, I want to keep up the rapid series of posts before I take another break, but I can’t think of a lot to say. Instead of something witty, I submit the following: Exhibit A.

From the site, ‘Ingredients for a Healthy Happy Cat:’
1) Shelter.
2) Nourishment.
3) Fresh Water.
4) Quality Time.
5) Do not kill the cat, especially with antifreeze.

I am somehow indirectly related to this person.

I refuse to accept the view that mankind is so tragically bound to the starless midnight of racism and war that the bright daybreak of peace and brotherhood can never become a reality. I believe that unarmed truth and unconditional love will have the final word.
Martin Luther King, Jr.

Hoping to be quoted like MLK is, of course, aiming high. Lately I’ve been thinking about the possibility of being quoted at all. If some random sentence I put together one day is used, even anonymously, to convey some better way of looking at the world, then I’ll be happy. All the crankiness would be worth it.

And now something certainly not worth quoting, but just as true as the above: Keira Knightley is wicked attractive. I’d watch “Spy Kids 8″ or “Honey, I Shrunk the Power Bill” if she had a bit role. Her being in Pride & Prejudice was a valid reason to see the movie. I suppose the movie just being quite good is enough reason to see it again.

Hooray for Earth. Hooray for murdering civilians guilt-free. Hooray that the policy-makers are doing the wrongs so that instead of changing our ways, we just overlook the obvious and change the rules.

Yes, that was sarcasm.

This is why I race home from work every day and play World of Warcraft until I pass out.

Have a look at this short report of Fox News comments after the London bombings.

"I saw the futures this morning, which were really in the tank, I thought ‘hmm, time to buy’."

"I think that works to our advantage, in the western world’s advantage, for people to experience something like this together, just 500 miles from where the attacks have happened."

"If they had picked France instead of London to hold the Olympics, it would have been the one time we could look forward to where we didn’t worry about terrorism. They’d blow up Paris, and who cares?"

When asked for a comment on the remarks, these anchors were unavailable. They were too busy hitting newborn puppies in the face with 9-irons.

So I get into work today and turn on the TV, finding CNN with constantly rehashed reporting of a series of bombings in London earlier that morning. Thirty or more dead, hundreds wounded. Shortly after that, the G8 leaders got together with the expected message that our war against terrorism must go on, we will win, etc.

After a few minutes of people yelling ‘Al Qaeda’ and ‘muslim terrorists’, I started thinking about all the things I’ve been reading lately. How there was this thing called the Downing Street Memo. How public opinion in England and the US were at miserable levels for those in charge. How people in general were sick of being in Iraq for no particular reason with an undefinable goal. How England was on the growing list of countries bailing on the ‘grand coalition’.

I also thought about the article ‘WTC: Stranger than Fiction’ that I read over a few hours at work the other day, not so sure whether I should believe it or not. I do believe the attack on the USS Liberty was a false-flag operation by Israel to frame Egypt for killing American soldiers, including a relative of mine. But I was hesitant to believe that there is some sort of century-long fanaticism to cause war at the expense of pretty much everybody, and the relative benefit of a strangely motivated subset of the Israeli government.

And then I read this article. It claims today’s attacks were pretty much false-flag booga-booga to keep the west in the war on terror.

It is interesting how Netanyahu changed his plans due to a warning of the attacks. Except the story changed to how he wasn’t warned – he just didn’t show up for his speech. Except that doesn’t make total sense because why would the embassy order that no one move if there was just a transformer fire?

So for the record, I’m not completely insane yet. But I’m getting there.

Depleted Uranium in Iraq.
Uhh… read it. Pretty please.

25 June 05

This completely blows my mind. I keep doing a double-take. Multiple-take anyway.

foxnews.com has a link on their main page to this article.

"Iraq: Bush Myths vs. Reality"

I realize they are putting the word ‘Opinion’ by the link, but this is usually the kind of information that Fox News’ anchors usually scream over while they signal to the booth to go to commercial.
